Heather Hughes, a double board-certified nurse practitioner in primary care and psychiatry, leads the practice with a passion for blending traditional medicine with integrative approaches to mental health. Heather’s own journey into mental health care started early, having grown up with a parent who faced mental health challenges. This personal experience, combined with over 13 years of experience as an ER nurse and seven years as an ER supervisor, opened her eyes to the disparities in mental health care access, particularly in emergency settings.
Heather launched her practice in 2023 with a mission to provide compassionate, personalized care, and she brings that same holistic mindset to her partnership with Moshika Beauty. Her approach focuses on treating each person as an individual—not a one-size-fits-all solution. From anxiety and depression to trauma and concentration challenges, Heather provides a variety of treatments, including functional and integrative psychiatry and traditional medication management.

Optimum Health & Wellness doesn’t just stop at traditional methods. Heather also offers Lens Neurofeedback, an innovative tool that’s making waves in the mental health field.
